The Bikes we Rarely Ride

I just counted the bikes in the garage and there are 12, one of which is a Cannondale tandem.This photo shows the wedgie storage.The empty slots here belong to the folding Bike Fridays which have never been out of the cases since their last use in September of 1999. Another bike of limited use is a mountain bike that marked the first purchase in our collection.

Rosie O'Friday in Holland, 1995

Rosie O'Friday was my touring bike from 1994 through 1999. I had been riding a recumbent all the time at home for several years. In September,1999 we rode the TRIRI which was about 200 easy miles in less than a week. I thought I would die. I just was not used to spending that many hours each day over those drop bars. So, Pansy, the recumbent, came to live at our house. But Pansy was too heavy to get up the hills, so we may get Rosie out of storage and give her another go.
