The
purpose for the trip to Oz was to pick up the Greenspeed trike,
Marigold but Qantas had a "deal". For very little extra,
one could add two more stops so we went to Sydney and Cairns in
addition to the Melbourne.
For
those who have the tolerance for detail, I have included an article
which appeared in the ERRC magazine.
Sydney

Unfortunately, it was raining much of the time we were in Australia
and Olympus had not yet come out with it's digital water resistant
camera, so I didn't take the quanity of pictures which I usually
do so our trip was not very thoroughly documented.
Most of our travel in the
area was by water. These cute
little yellow water taxis were prolific.
Our hotel was on Darling Harbour.
We were walking distance from shopping, restaurants, and ferries.

It seemed as if there were a lot of street markets,
but perhaps it just seemed that way because we were
in different cities that had street markets. At any
rate, it was a pleasant way to spend a few hours.
In an effort to save web building time, I have imported
the pages from the family photo album made using
Microsoft Publisher so the format is changing, but my
motto is: SOMETHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING.
Now I will go ride my trike
